Business Development Manager (External)

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in driving growth and expanding our market presence through proactive outreach, relationship building, and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of achieving targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound calls and emails to prospective clients, effectively communicating our value proposition and securing meetings.
  • Utilize Salesforce to track and manage leads, opportunities, and client interactions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Business Development to develop and optimize lead generation strategies and enhance lead flow.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with prospective clients, ensuring consistent engagement and follow-up.
  • Assist in the development of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and other sales materials as needed.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Drive the sales cycle from initial contact through to connecting with our Client Relationship Manager.
  • Act as a self-starter, demonstrating initiative and ownership in driving business development efforts forward.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, with a strong understanding of sales processes and techniques.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM software for managing sales pipelines and client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience in preparing and presenting proposals, RFP responses, and sales presentations is preferred.
  • A proactive and results-driven mindset, with a determination to achieve and exceed targets.
