Job Description
Position Summary: The Advisor Development Manager team member plays a crucial role in developing the next generation of advisory talent and ensuring exceptional support for our Financial Advisors. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management, coaching, and professional development of Associate Financial Advisors and employees in the Advisor Growth Track (AGT) program. The Advisor Development Manager ensures the team delivers high-quality work, adheres to firm standards, and progresses towards their individual and team goals. This role reports to the Director of Advisory and works closely with them to align team expectations with the overall advisory strategy and firm objectives. The Advisor Development Manager also works with the Director of Advisory to execute and manage strategic projects for the department.
Education:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or Financial Planning
Years of Experience:
Required: Minimum 5+ years in financial planning industry and experience working as a Financial Advisor
Certifications:
Required: Certified Financial Planner (CFP®)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct supervision, mentorship, and coaching to Associate Financial Advisors and Advisor Growth Track participants.
- Develop and implement training programs and resources to enhance the technical skills, client service abilities, and industry knowledge of team members.
- Develop and review employee KPIs and performance metrics for both AFA’s and AGT employees
- Work closely with the Operations, Financial Planning, Portfolio Management and Business Development department heads to monitor performance of the AGT employees through their rotations
- Ensure the AFA and AGT team members provide a superior and consistent level of service to the advisory team while supporting the firm’s clients.
- Work with the Director of Advisory to complete strategic projects and implement new technologies and tools to enhance team productivity and client service.
