Early in his career, Hal focused on honing skills and taking on a variety of key roles and responsibilities, including portfolio management, comprehensive financial planning and performing account reviews for clients. He quickly developed into a valuable asset, but in 2000 Hal made the tough decision to leave Bogart Wealth in order to explore other areas of the financial services industry. His ever-expanding repertoire then took him into the world of commercial real estate, where he managed assets for over a decade throughout the Washington D.C. property market.
When he reconnected with his old colleagues – and learned that they were looking for someone with his comprehensive set of skills and experience – Hal was excited to accept their offer to rejoin the team at Bogart Wealth in 2016.
Hal earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Virginia Tech in 1993, and has been expanding his knowledge ever since. In 2019, he was awarded the Chartered Market Technician (CMT®) designation. Hal resides in Bethesda, MD, where he enjoys tennis, weightlifting, running, playing the saxophone and spending time with his wife, Caroline.
