Job Description:

Position Summary: The Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and evolving the firm’s Salesforce platform to align with business needs and support the firm’s continued growth. This includes ensuring data integrity, improving business processes, and driving user adoption of Salesforce across the firm. Additionally, the Salesforce Administrator will oversee critical integrations and collaborate with key stakeholders to introduce and refine business processes in operations, business development, and portfolio administration. 

This position requires the employee to be onsite in McLean 5 days a week.

Education:

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Preferred: Graduate degree in a related field

Years of Experience:

Required: 5+ years of experience

Certifications:

Required: Salesforce Administrator

Preferred: Salesforce Platform App Builder; Salesforce Platform Developer II; Salesforce Strategy Designer

Key Responsibilities:

Salesforce Administration

  • Administer, configure, and customize the Salesforce platform to meet the evolving business needs of a growing RIA
  • Lead the evaluation and potential migration from XLR8 to Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC), ensuring a seamless transition and maximizing capabilities
  • Administer and manage user setup, profiles, roles, permissions, and access controls to ensure system security and regulatory compliance
  • Oversee and maintain integrations with key financial technology systems, including eMoney, Black Diamond, Schwab, and Milemarker
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases, new features, and best practices to recommend system enhancements

Data Integrity & Process Optimization

  • Implement and maintain best practices for data integrity, cleansing, and governance within Salesforce by developing data validation rules as well as continued monitoring and resolving of data discrepancies
  • Work with key stakeholders to design and implement business processes within Salesforce, identifying opportunities to automate workflows and eliminate inefficiencies
  • Develop and implement firm-wide Salesforce usage policies to improve consistency, data accuracy, and system utilization

Reporting & Analytics

  • Design and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and workflows to provide actionable insights for leadership, advisors, and departments
  • Ensure data accuracy with continuous data integration from multiple financial technology systems
  • Track platform adoption and identify areas for improvement to enhance utilization and efficiency

User Support

  • Act as the Salesforce champion to ensure firm-wide adoption and engagement
  • Develop user training materials and conduct training sessions for new and existing users to maximize platform utilization across teams
  • Provide ongoing user support by troubleshooting issues, resolving user concerns, and working with internal stakeholders and external vendors to enhance the system
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator
  • Knowledge of Salesforce technological trends to build reports, dashboards, workflows, and data validation
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to problem solve by analyzing situations, identifying problems, and developing effective solutions
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking based on data-informed decision-making
  • Ability to train employees on new technology implementations
  • Knowledge of Black Diamond, eMoney, Schwab, and Milemarker is a plus
