To Our Valued Clients,
After phasing out my work over the past months, I’ll arrive at the momentous milestone of retirement on June 26th. After much deliberation, for me, it will now be about enjoying family, friends, teaching, and traveling.
In the summer of 1983, I began my career at Dean Witter with the dream of building a financial advisory practice by educating clients, assisting them in reaching their financial goals, and providing them with peace of mind throughout their retirement with the best that the industry had to offer. My guiding principles since then have been to always place client’s interests first and to hold myself and firm to a high standard. Trust should never be a question between a client and their advisor. These are the values that will continue to live on at Bogart Wealth.
The greatest benefit of this work, to me, has been the honor, privilege, and pleasure of working with some of the most incredible people I could have ever imagined. The clients, friends, and colleagues I have come to know over the past thirty-seven years have made all the difference, and I want to thank each of you for allowing me this honor. I would also like to express my thanks to my son James for facilitating my exit and stepping up confidently to continue my philosophy and practice at Bogart Wealth.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for placing your trust and confidence in me over the years. I also want to assure all of you that all of my team; James as CEO, Michelle as COO, advisors Nell, Michael, Pete and Grant, and all at Bogart Wealth, will carry forward with all the same service and management expertise that you have come to expect as the hallmark of our firm. Additionally, I have been so impressed with our portfolio management team, Aleks and Hal, that I will be maintaining my accounts with them for their continued management. I am very proud of James and the entire team for their deep commitment and capability in delivering the best world-class financial advisory experience available.
I’ll be relinquishing my licenses, including my CFP license, so all financial advisory questions should be directed to James, Nell, Michael, Pete, or Grant. However, please don’t let that stop you from reaching out to me as a friend.
I spent a lifetime working toward this moment, and reflecting on it is beyond my words. Thirty-seven years in the same career is not common in today’s world, but for me, it has been invaluable. I will truly miss each of you and hope and expect that you will stay in touch. Thank you, again, for your trust, for our relationship, and for the connection that relationship afforded me.
